Description of Eudora

Eudora is a robust e-mail client whose features include multiple addressbook formatting options and the ability to filter, redirect, and forward mail. Eudora includes many convenient features such as the powerful search functions, multiple e-mail accounts, integrated word processor with automatic spell checking, and much more.

Versions 5+ can operate in any of three, user-selectable modes. Sponsored mode allows you to use the full-featured Eudora e-mail client at no charge, but displays a series of static onscreen advertisements. Paid mode allows you to use the full-featured Eudora e-mail client without the advertisements once a payment has been made. Light mode is an upgrade to the current Eudora Light, yet does not have as many features as the full client available in Sponsored and Paid modes. The Light mode will include a sponsor image or logo, but no rotating advertising. You can switch between the Light mode and the Sponsored mode at any time.

Eudora is an e-mail client used on the Apple Macintosh and Microsoft Windows operating systems. It also supports several palmtop computing platforms, including Newton and the Palm OS. The software was named after Eudora Welty because of her short story "Why I Live at the Post Office". [1] Eudora was developed by Steve Dorner in 1988 who worked at the Computer Services Organization of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign[2]. Eudora was acquired by Qualcomm in 1991. In 2006 Qualcomm stopped development of the commercial version, and sponsored the creation of a new open-source version based on Mozilla Thunderbird code-named Penelope.

Camfrog Video Chat is a program created by Camshare LLC that allows users all over the world to broadcast live streaming audio and video. This software allows over 1,000 users in a live streaming videoconference room.

Camfrog allows users to host their own video chat rooms using the "Camfrog Server" software. In addition to the Camfrog Server, most chat room owners use dedicated server hosting companies to host their own Camfrog video chat rooms that can allow up to 1,000 users. Many Camfrog users are deaf and the most active room hosted by Camfrog is the "SignLanguage" room. Many deaf users also host their own rooms in the general category. Deaf users use Camfrog to communicate via video with sign language. CamFrog Video Chat *client* supports both Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, 2k and 2k3) and Apple MacOS X.

Camfrog is a video chat software program and community. It is owned by Camshare LLC. A limited version of the program is available as freeware on the company website with an option to upgrade to a full version.

Features
Users can browse both user-hosted and Camfrog-hosted video chat rooms, as well as engage in private instant messaging. Video chat rooms include language oriented rooms (including many sign language rooms), rooms for singles, rooms aimed at users from specific countries, trivia oriented rooms, and adult only video chat. Like other similar chat and instant message programs it requires registration and a unique username to log on. The website features a user directory with user profiles.
Users are distinguished by the colour of their names:
Owners are red
Operators are green
Friends are blues
General users are black
Bold name means they are a pro user (using the commercial version of the software)
Regular font weight means they are using the free version (using the free version makes all user names the regular font weight)

AIM 5.2 introduces the ability for AIM members to send and receive end-to-end encrypted messages - IM, Chat and File Transfer - allowing for message privacy and member identification. Messages are encrypted and decrypted using industry-standard encryption methods - messages sent between AIM members can be digitally encrypted and signed. IM Forwarding is another new feature.
